The faces of Afghanistan are robust, gritty and diverse. It is a country so culturally rich that it is difficult to comprehend. As I walked the streets each day taking photos, drinking tea, and smoking the Pine cigarettes I was constantly reminded of how different this place is than my home, but I always, well almost always, felt safe.
As Kabul, once again, has become unstable (2015) I am curious to see where this country will go in the future. Will there ever be a generation that does not know war as normal? Will Afghanistan always be in a constant state of unrest? Only time will tell.
